HOUSE is the No.1 scripted series among Adults 18-34 and Teens, as well as the No. 2 scripted series among Adults 18-49. The post-Super Bowl XLII episode of HOUSE was the series' highest rated episode ever across all demos and the highest rated scripted program on any network in two years among Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers.
The show as been honored with two Emmy Awards and 11 nominations, including two for Outstanding Drama Series and two for Hugh Laurie; the 2006 Humanitas Prize and three Humanitas finalist honors; two Golden Globe Awards and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Laurie; a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Television Series, Drama; a Peabody Award; the People's Choice Award for Favorite TV Drama and the Writers Guild Award for Episodic Drama. DR. GREGORY HOUSE (Hugh Laurie), devoid of bedside manner and dealing with his own constant physical pain, uses a cane that seems to punctuate his acerbic, brutally honest demeanor. For the past four seasons, he has shepherded an elite team of experts who help him unravel diagnostic mysteries. He has a good friend and confidant in oncology specialist DR. JAMES WILSON (Robert Sean Leonard) and there's some volatile chemistry between House and DR. LISA CUDDY (Lisa Edelstein), the Dean of Medicine and hospital administrator.
In Season Four, House orchestrated a series of major changes to his diagnostic team and narrowed down 40 applicants to three, hiring DR. CHRIS TAUB (Peter Jacobson), THIRTEEN (Olivia Wilde) and DR. LAWRENCE KUTNER (Kal Penn) who join neurologist DR. ERIC FOREMAN (Omar Epps). Former team members DR. ALLISON CAMERON (Jennifer Morrison) and DR. ROBERT CHASE (Jesse Spencer) no longer have to answer to House as Cameron heads up Emergency Medicine and Chase is working in Surgery.
